We don’t always find it easy to PROMOTE OURSELVES or own the great work we do… but we must!
Our nature is to place others first and ourselves second, third or fourth… we call this compassion & strong leadership and it is… however we must know when to equally RECOGNISE OUR NEEDS too and ENGAGE SUPPORT, as needed.
We sometimes are more risk adverse than our male colleagues… so we must TAKE MORE RISKS and BACK OURSELVES and our female colleagues to stretch and grow, take on more challenges that may scare us and see this as a knowledge journey, GIVING OURSELVES PERMISSION TO MAKE MISTAKES along the way…
Communication is one of our great strengths and advantages so we must HAVE AN AUTHENTIC VOICE, even when ours is the only female voice at the top table.
